I have been missing in action lately! I started Feathering Your Empty Nest to help other mom, like myself to rediscover who they are, now that their children are grown and they are looking for a new direction in their “second adulthood.”

There has been so much going on in my life this last year with the new directions I created for myself, after my children left, that I neglected this area.

I have been working on my business with my two fabulous business partners — www.myrazorr.com. It is an online all-in-one team management software created for Direct Sales leaders — check it out.

I also am blogging at www.myrazorrsays.com

In really fine tuning and deciding how I wanted to help other moms and what I could offer, I decided to create a new site called: www.BorntoBeAMom. It is still underconstruction and we are working as quickly as possible on it. I am also in the process of writing a book.

So, stay tuned and I hope you will join me at www.borntobeamom.com

Live BIG, Laugh LOTS!

I was listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer on PBS and he said something that really made me stop and think, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

If I am “seeing” and focusing on the challenges in my business/life and what is not working then how does that affect my productivity, decision making, or enjoyment of my work/life?

What if I relook at the situation and “see” and focus on what is working, how well things are going, which things I am managing well, and what I have to be grateful for? How does that affect my energy, well-being, and enjoyment?

My friend, Heidi was fixing her doorknob with a screwdriver, then the door came open and she fell forward onto the screwdriver. Ouch! It hit her eye, just barely missing her cornea. She called me to tell me how bad her luck was and how nothing was going right lately in her life.

I told her how blessed I thought she was. She couldn’t understand how I could see the situation that way, “Blessed, how?” was her response. I explained how I saw her as being so blessed because the screwdriver missed her cornea. She could have fallen to where the screwdriver had damaged her cornea and her eyesight was damaged for life.

Changing my perspective was really powerful for me when dealing with the changes that was happening in my life.

Today, I now continually “relook” at situations and check in with myself. Because, it is all about perspective and how you CHOOSE to look at things. It is a choice – and you decide! Do you choose to see the positive in situations or the negative?
