How Do You Make Decisions? – Part II
Two books helped me with discovering the life I wanted and what I am passionate about, as well as personal freedom. ”The Passion Test” and the “Four Agreements” are both great books.
“The Passion Test” helped me to really look at all the things I wanted out of my life and helped me to prioritize which ones were the most important to me. It is a simple and easy method to identifying your passions and creating the life you want.
“The Four Agreements” is about achieving personal freedom and discovering your authentic self.
1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don’t Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simple do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
Using both of these books helped me to begin the process of figuring out what I wanted and set the criteria for my making decisions. Were my actions, plans, opportunities taking me towards my passions and what I wanted to create in my life or away from it?
Was my perception of what I thought others would think holding me back? Was I trusting my inner voice or worrying about how others were going to accept my choices? Releasing myself from the judgment of others, as well as myself helped me to move forward with achieving my dreams.
I hope you will read both of these books and give me your insights on what you thought and how they helped you in creating the lifestyle you deserve.
Laugh LOTS and Live BIG!
Debbie
